Memorial Day

Glenn and I are headed to Iowa and Minnesota for the SkinnerHuff extravaganza wedding this weekend. I CANNOT wait. It is going to be a ridiculous good time. Glenn is coming home on Monday, but I am spending the entire week!! at home in Rochester and in the cities. Good times with good friends. I am looking forward to a relaxing week with the family. Lots of driving between IA and MN but oh well. The only interesting part will be seeing friends from Naperville at Amy T's wedding. I haven't seen some of them in 8 or 10 years. Crazy! It is pretty amazing the friends we've made in the last few years. We truly have friends all over the country. We are lucky to have good friends. It will be great to see a few old ones too. This whole working thing really gets in the way.

It amazes me that it is March already. We've been in VA for almost 6 months already. Only about 5 more to go before we know where we will be staying for the next 3 years. I've been thinking about this a lot lately, like we find out tomorrow, but still 5 more months to go. I really hope we go overseas. Everyone I tell this too is either A) as excited as we are or B) wondering how we could ever be so far away. To this I respond- far away from what? Family and friends are already far away. So far away that they rarely come now. I'm excited for a new adventure, let's get started already.
