Oh, Brooke.

Girlfriend is only 3, but she gives her parents a run for their money. Just wait til she's a teenager!

She was potty training this weekend, hence the lack of pants. She sure cracks me up!

Cousins

I took a ton of pictures of Lincoln meeting his cousins for the first time. Brooke and Connor loved Baby Wincoln as they called him. It was so cute! Here are a few if my favorites.

An extra day

We got a huge snow storm in Illinois yesterday which made driving the hour and a half to St. Louis a little difficult so we called Delta and moved my flight to tomorrow for free. School was cancelled too so I got an extra day with my family!

While Lincoln was napping, Connor and I built a snowman. Makes me miss the snow a bit!

Jet setter!

My little man and I made it from Virginia to Illinois with a stop in Georgia yesterday. He did wonderful!

I think half the battle was getting a baby, car seat, suit case and diaper bag in the airport. Thank goodness for friends who will drop you off at the curb!

Lincoln rode in the Ergo and I checked my car seat and suitcase and had the diaper bag on my back. I felt a little bogged down, but was happy to have my hands free. The ergo has a pocket on the front that was perfect for my boarding passes and cell phone. I even stopped for Starbucks. I call that a success.

We boarded early and I fed Lincoln before take off because he was being fussy. I'm sure people who were boarding were a little worried, but he fell asleep before takeoff. He was asleep for some off the flight and then was happy to look around and make faces at me. I did have to change a full diaper, but the nice lady by the bathroom offered her two seats for me to use since there wasn't a changing table. I fed him again as we were landing and his ears seemed fine.

I put him in the ergo as we were taxing since my next flight was already boarding. He fell back asleep and stayed asleep through the terminal, a train and running to the next gate.

He woke up when I sat down on the next plane but was content with a little bouncing and looking around and watching the beverage cart. I even managed to eat a sandwich! I didn't feed him at all on this flight since he seemed content. I had to change his diaper again, but no nice lady, the top of the toilet seat had to do. Blech. He fell back asleep just before landing and while I put him back in the carrier.

Thanks for being such a good sport Mr. President! Love you!

Tough Tuesday

I had a fussy baby today and without a second pair of hands coming home at 5:00, I'm a tired lady. Still blogging though apparently.

Mr. President only likes to take a 45 min nap after breakfast, which is fine, enough time to shower, but his next two naps of the day were only 20 min despite the fact that he barely finished nursing, he was so tired.

So we went for a walk because it was beautiful outside and he usually sleeps in the stroller. He did, so we kept walking for over an hour and then I just pushed the stroller with my foot on the patio. The second that stroller stops moving- crying!

He ate, we headed to the store and he fell asleep again. If only he would sleep for a long time in his crib! He's done it before! Can't figure out the key!

Oh and while out I realize my military ID and check card are missing. Add a trip to pass and tag to my to do list tomorrow. Worst place ever.

Now he's asleep in my arms. Almost makes me forget what a cranky bug he was today.

Whining complete. Being a mom is hard work.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We celebrated in Oceanview, like last year, with the St. Patrick's day parade. Although this year required a little more gear in the way of strollers, blankets and burp clothes and less beer and Jell-O shots.

It rained during kegs and eggs but Lincoln and I hid out in a friend's mini van. The rain stopped just before the parade started and it was warm and sunny most of the day!

It's always great people watching! We headed to a friends' house that is a short walk from the parade route and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon.

Unfortunately, a stomach bug was shared at the party as well. So far, we are all still healthy... Hoping it stays that way! Especially since Lincoln and I are on our own for the next 2 weeks. Daddy is headed to Florida for work.

Hope you had a good weekend too!

Visiting Daddy At Work

Glenn had to work late on Wednesday so Lincoln and I went to visit! El presidente was a happy baby and even wore his hawkeye onesie! We went to lunch with friends, went shopping and ran a few errands all afternoon. He did so well!

Visitors!

Lincoln had two lovely ladies loving on him for he last couple days! We miss Ali and Megan already! They are two of my dear friends from college and flew here from MN and Cali to meet Mr. Lincoln. And see me an Glenn I suppose. It meant so much to us to have them here! They are the first of my college friends to come visit. We ate, chatted and relaxed and enjoyed the 65 degree weather. So relaxing.

Thanks again!

Girls' Night Out

Last Friday I went out with the VAW/VRC ladies in the area and it was a blast! We stayed up til 3 am (and Lincoln's 6 am feeding came VERY early). A few of the daddies and kiddos came to our house and stayed in with Lincoln and Glenn. Thanks for the fun night!

The late Friday night lead to a very lazy Saturday. We all stayed in our pjs most of the day!
I love weekends where we are all together as a family. Glad tomorrow is Friday!

Lincoln's Newborn Pictures

I'm sure many of you saw a few of these on Facebook, but I wanted to post some of my favorites. You can click here and see all of them as well. A fellow Navy wife, Christene, took them for us. We met her in 2006 in Kingsville, TX and have stayed in touch. She is so talented. Check out her website!
