These are our matching robes from the hotel we stayed at. Most hotels and Ryokan provide these robes/pjs called yukata for you. We didn't stay at any ryokans on this trip but I'm hoping to in the future. Ryokans are hotel facilities, but are much more traditional Japanese. They have hot springs (onsens), meals are served communally, and you sleep on futons on tatami mat floors. Our hotel in Nagano was a ryokan.
