Moo! It's a COW party!

After a massive earthquake, an evacuation, kids in new schools, relocations and all the drama, we finally got around to welcoming Kathy as VAW-115's newest Commanding Officer's Wife (COW). And in Navy tradition, we threw her a COW-themed bash to thank her for all the hard work she has/will put in as the "lady in charge" of all of us!

Kristy and Diann did a great job planning the party down to the smallest details including these personalized coasters with pictures of Kathy! How cute is that? I'm gonna have to steal that idea in the future!

Kathy opened many cow gifts. Some cute....some not so cute, but all in good fun.
We were joined by all the CO and XO wives from the other squadrons as well. They are always a good time!
What's that you're wearing Kathy?
Oh yes, of course! PJ pants!
Perfect for the event!
This party was just getting started. Let's move the sangria to the bar!

Some beautiful ladies (and Mike)

Last Sunday, our OSSG (Officer Spouses' Support Group) took a group photo (minus a couple) just for fun. A chance to remember the group and our time together here in Japan. Although, since the group is ever changing, it seems like we'll have to take a few more while I'm here. After our photo op, we headed to Father's Day Brunch at the Officers' Club. No fathers were present in our group, but it didn't make me enjoy the chocolate fountain and mini creme brulee any less.
A wonderful photographer, Kazu, took the pictures for us. Thanks!

Farewell Kristen and Tina!

I haven't uploaded the pictures from my camera in a week or so, so some of these pictures are a little old, but I just wanted to say farewell to Kristen and Tina! They are two members of our OSSG (Officer Spouses' Support Group) that have left or will be leaving shortly to go back to the States.

Kristen and her family are headed to Washington, D.C. and Tina and her family are going to Leavenworth, KS. Good luck to you and you'll be missed!
