Glenn made it to NY twice this week!

That's Glenn flying! Glenn did a Hudson River flight this week too and took some awesome pictures of the city from his plane!

We went over Halloween weekend for the TCS NYC Marathon which Glenn ran in an amazing 3 hours and 51 minutes! It was his first marathon and Maya and I were there to cheer him on at mile 17. We just missed them at mile 24! We left Lincoln in NJ with a friend's family which was much easier for this mama. It was 50 degrees and very windy so he was much happier in NJ than bundled up in a stroller. And I didn't have to navigate the subway with a stroller!

Sunset Cruise

On Sunday night while we were in Costa Rica, the entire wedding group (approx. 80 people) went on a sunset catamaran cruise. It was a little stressful with a walking toddler and only ropes on the edge of the boat, but it was naptime so Lincoln spent most of the time in the ergo.

He did love the nets at the front of the boat though. Kept under close supervision my many many adults.

What's down there buddy?

The catamaran was a lot of fun (and an open bar!) turned into one of the scariest moments of my life though when Lincoln choked on some food and started to turn blue. Luckily grandma smacked and squeezed it out of him in a manner of seconds and two nurses were standing by just in case. It shook both of us up quite a bit- enough that even the bride brought me a drink to calm my nerves. Learn the infant Heimlich! You never know when you will need it!

The sunset was beautiful and Lincoln was sleeping peacefully in my arms.

Water Baby

From the minute we got to the resort in Costa Rica, Lincoln was running towards the water. He went swimming in his clothes more than a few times. Luckily, the pool was very kid friendly and had a completely shaded kid pool as well as shallow sections in the sun.

Lincoln even had a little friend, Kinley, that he played with every day.

Having Gramma and Papa in Costa Rica with us was WONDERFUL! Thank you thank you thank you for coming! It was nice to have an two extra pairs of hands to watch L in the water (or grab a beer).

The Flamingo Beach resort was right across from the beach so we got to see beautiful Pacific sunsets each evening.

 I love my little family as much as I love L's tiny sunglasses! When is our next vacation?

Green Lake, Wisconsin

The second leg of our trip was to Green Lake, Wisconsin for Glenn's family annual reunion. I haven't been since 2006 and Glenn hasn't been since before that even. Glenn's dad, grandparents, 3 uncles and spouses and most of their kiddos made the trip. This year the gang had to be split up in to two houses! We went out on the boat, went water skiing, ate and bon fired for the few days that we were there.

We had wonderful weather and had to get out our sweatshirts at night! Lincoln loved the boat (except for the life jacket).

Lincoln tried a food other than cereal too! He had squash, and it was definitely a new taste for him. He liked it the second time he had it, but not so much the first time.

Great grandma loved smooching on Lincoln and all the other grandkids!

We're so glad Lincoln got to meet the extended family since we don't see them very often.

 These pictures make me want to live on a lake in Minnesota, but only in the summer/fall.

Happy Birthday Ali!

Happy Birthday! I can't wait to see you and YOUR little man in just two weeks. I love you for letting us all come visit the same weekend so that we can love on your little man together and all of us girls can be in the same place for the first time in FIVE years. That's right, this mama is going on a vacation to visit that new mama. Along with 4 of my closest friends. We're renting a mini van. On the opposite coast! Without Lincoln. I get giddy excited thinking about and then terrified two seconds later. Daddy will do great. I can't wait to see you! Have a wonderful birthday, Ali! SEE YOU SOON!
