Giggles

Sorry for the nanny-cam angle. Glenn has been gone for a week and I've been emailing him videos. Here is one of my favorites to date.

Father's Day 2013

We started out Father's Day with brunch (we had made plans so as usual, Lincoln took an extra long nap so breakfast quickly became brunch) at 757 Crave which is in Portsmouth overlooking the water and downtown Norfolk. A beautiful way to start our day!

We spent the evening at the Moran's house with their new baby Amelia. They are settling in well and learning the craziness that is parenthood. We brought them dinner to help a bit.
Yeah, that's more like it. Parenthood is fun. ;)
My tiny baby looks ginormous compared to this little lady.
I did buy Glenn (& Lincoln) a small gift. Matching shirts. I think I should start a tradition. Matching shirts on Father's day. It will be more fun when Lincoln can pick the shirts out. My two wonderful men. Love them so much.

First Haircut

You know how magazines always have a really ugly "before" picture before an awesome makeover? Well, here is Lincoln's before. Sorry, love, not your best photo to date.
He's lost most of the front of his hair and all that was left of his long newborn hair was a patch on the very top of his head and a mullet in the back. After thinking it over for a few weeks, I finally agreed to let Glenn give Lincoln his first haircut.

He wasn't so sure about the clippers, but luckily they aren't too loud and didn't scare him too much. He actually did really well!
"My ears are going where?"
Bye bye baby mullet!
And his "After". Look how handsome he is!

Good work, daddy! I see summer haircuts like this in our future!

Babies!

Two of my dearest friends had their babies this week! So exciting!

Mr. Lucas Linden Olig was born on Wednesday morning, June 12th out in California. I can't wait to meet him!
Miss Amelia Fabiola Moran made her appearance on Thursday June 13th! We got to meet her at the hospital on Friday night. I forgot already how fast they grow. Lincoln was only about 8 oz heavier than Amelia at birth but she seemed so tiny!

Congratulations friends! I know both kiddos were a long time in the making! Enjoy!

Lean to the Left

He's getting close to sitting up all by himself!

New Noises

4 Months

13 Weeks
4 months already!? Seriously, it has gone so quickly already. This month you've started to notice the world around you much more. You are interested in toys and like holding on to your oball or rings. You've noticed Stella the last few weeks and like to watch where she is going. You love mirrors as well and checking out that good looking dude who comes to visit you!
14 Weeks
You've slept through the night a hand full of times, but always seem to wake up once or twice. To get your diaper changed, to get your pacifier again or sometimes just to hang out and have a dance party in your crib. Sometimes you are so tired from daycare, you go to bed at 5:00! I wake you up to eat around 7 or 8 and then you go back to bed til 6 am! You must be growing a bunch, but it makes me miss you!

You're sleeping a little better at daycare, but not too long of naps, just your frequent naps. Every once and awhile you take a longer nap so I am hoping your habits are changing a bit.

15 Weeks
You are still a go-with-the-flow baby. We can take you to restaurants, baseball games, even sailing and you take it all in. You nap in your carrier or car seat or stroller pretty well, but I know this will come to an end at some point. There are a lot of things to see in this world, baby boy, and we want to show you all of them.
16 Weeks
Your talking and cooing are so fun to listen to. I know you have a lot of things to say to us! You smile back and mommy and daddy all the time now. Sometimes when you are very tired, only mama can get you to settle down. You're fussiest when you are tired. That's why naps are so important!

Our lives have changed forever these last 4 months. We love you Lincoln!

Baby Amelia's Baby Shower

At the beginning of May, myself and 3 other fabulous ladies hosted a baby shower for little Amelia Moran, Chris and Gizelle's baby that is now due in just a few weeks!

We had a pink and blue nautical theme and the other ladies were awesome to host with! So many good ideas!

Gizelle has been obsessed with waffles her entire pregnancy so we had fried chicken and waffles to eat!
A message in a bottle for baby Amelia.
We played one trivia game with Chris, but the only other "game" was an ABC book where everyone chose a letter and drew a picture. I found the idea online and used my Criket to cut out all the letters. It turned out super cute and less raunchy that I had anticipated with all the guys/keg/drinking. :)

Is this their future family? Lots of babies at the shower!
H is for Hand!
All of the hostesses and Gizelle!

She's going to be here before you know it! Enjoy your last few weeks!
