A Fuji-san Fir: VAW-115 Christmas Tree 2010

The annual Officer's Club tree decorating was last week. Since the guys were gone and it was just the ladies/Mike decorating the tree, we decided to decorate it with pictures of us! Specifically, our accomplishments this year: climbing Mt. Fuji and winning Bad Girl Games.
We made a trail up the mountain and even a tiny torii gate. We covered the top with snow and even included a rising sun.
My favorite ornaments were the climbing sticks that we made out of chopsticks. They even had the little bells.
Don't forget our Badgirl Games trophy- the infamous leg lamp!
 Merry Christmas Liberty Bells!

Delicousness: Ice Spice

My friend, Ann, and I headed to an off-base liquor store last week called Liquor Land (more affectionately known as Riquor Rand) to check out what they had. Turns out hey have pretty much everything! I grabbed this guy cause it looked interesting and it turns out it was delicious too! It is a Ginger Ale flavored malt beverage. Oishi!

There were 4!

I was wrong! There were 4 babies that I have never met at Saturday's Thanksgiving. By the time we get there next year, they are going to be so big!

From left to right: Gage, Parker, Ethan and Brooke. (I hope)

The first 3 are my first cousin's children and the last one is my niece. We can't wait to see you all soon!

I think by far the hardest thing about being in Japan is being away from family. I miss Target and shoes larger than a size 8 dearly, but it's missing the weddings, the births and the get togethers that make being over here so hard sometimes.

Only a few more weeks, baby B, and I'll get to meet you in person. I can't wait!

A Thanksgiving Feast

I had Thanksgiving dinner at our COW's house this year. She invited all the spouses and families over so we could celebrate together spouse/daddy-less.

We had an amazing spread of food thanks to everyone bringing their favorites. We even got sweet potatoes and granny smith apples shipped in from America! Thank you Kristy's mom!
After dinner we had a rousing game of kickball. Some of the little ones need to work on their baseball rules, but they got the hang of it. A nice way to burn off a few calories from dinner.
After the little ones went home we watching several episodes of "Raising Hope" a new Fox series. If you haven't seen it yet, it is hilarious! All in all, a quiet Thanksgiving, but surrounded by friends.
